We have three new baby turtles in our house now!!!
unfortunatly, chica WILL NOT rest until she has taken each one of them at least once into the yard and tried to eat it. (luckily she hasen't succeeded yet)

mexico...school
in case you haven't guessed, theres a lot of differences about mexico and "the states"
first off, scool starts at 7:50... I HAVE TO WAKE UP 10-20 MINUTES EARLIER THAN NORMAL! Also, mexico is alot poorer than the states yet they still have a computer lab with about 15-20 of those old box computers, however, ONLY 5 OF THEM WORK!!! Also, the biggest class room they have has only 14-16 students!!! Mine, fifth grade, hase ONLY 8 STUDENTS!!! (INCLUDING ME) Plus, every Monday they have this thing "honares de la bandera" or "honares of the flag" Basicaly, every student in the school (about 105 kids and teachers) stand in a rectangle while a class will pick 8-10 students to walk/march around with the mexican flag in the blazing heat while everyone sings how "great" and "amazing" mexico is.
I'VE FAINTED TWICE IN 2 WEAKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(no joke thats how hot it is) if you dont believe me, ask mom.
Plus, i'm the only kid that has ever fainted at the ceramony.
Last but not least, most of the class rooms are about 1/5-1/6 the size of "normal" class rooms in the states.
In other words, i hate it here.
P.S: you can see by how i wrote this that im forgetting about 1/200 of my English<---(i almost spelled English with an i, not e)

New puppy!!!!!!!

We got a new puppy named Chica (spanish for girl) a few days ago.
After we put our 14 year old dog Owen to sleep we are all surprised that we wanted another
dog so soon. Her father is a Scottish Terrier and her mother is a Basset Hound ... :-)
We cant wait to see what she looks like when she grows up.
She is a lot of fun.

note from Mom
we are obviously all still learning to blog. from our end all the fixed text on this site is appearing in Spanish. we're hoping that's just because we're logging on from Mexico--and haven't figured out our settings yet--but would someone please "comment" and let us know if you're viewing this site in 100% English? or is there Spanish on your end, too?
